Qualifications:
Licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of New Jersey. Certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. At least two (2) years oncology focused nursing experience in a hospital or ambulatory setting, preferably as an advanced practice nurse. Demonstrated leadership skills preferred. Must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills. 

Responsibilities:
Advanced nursing practice is the utilization of professional nursing knowledge. The Advanced Practice Nurse will serve as an advanced practice professional in an expanded role. This position will report to the Associate Director of Nursing and Patient Education and will be responsible for facilitating staff education through the development and implementation of programs at the Cancer Institute of New JErsey. Additionally, this role will serve to support the day-today clinical operations of the Cancer Institute of New Jersey through assisting with the identification, development and management of projects to support improvements in the delivery of patient care. The role of the Advanced Practice Nurse serves to enhance the quality of care delivered to oncology patients. There are several components to the role, including that of expert practitioner, educator, consultant and researcher. Demonstrates competency in recognizing the unique needs of patients and applying relevant treatment approaches for pediatric (0-17 years), adult (18-64), and geriatric (65+) patients.
